A considered framework connection

TRS-informed teaching and documentation prompts.

Developed with reference to publicly available Texas Rising Star Classroom Assessment Record Forms, these supplemental activities are designed to support selected teacher–child interaction practices, particularly those addressed in Category 2.

Suggested questions, conversational exchanges, and descriptive language give educators practical prompts to review and adapt.

These are supplemental resources, not an official TRS curriculum. The project and activities are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) or Texas Rising Star. Participation does not guarantee certification, a star rating, or an assessment result. For use outside Texas, alignment with another state’s rating or quality system has not been established.

Funding, delivery, and usage terms

Activities arrive by email as HTML attachments. Download and open them in a compatible web browser on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Activities are supplemental resources and do not replace your core curriculum.

Activities are provided at no charge while project funding is available. Continued delivery is not guaranteed. If funding becomes insufficient, MMS will notify participating programs by email before delivery stops. Participants may keep and continue using activities already received under the applicable usage terms.

Activities may be shared with teachers within the participating center for classroom use or printed for use in that center. They may not be resold, republished, or distributed outside the center. Receiving activities does not transfer ownership or copyright. Any case-by-case participation arrangement must establish the applicable delivery and usage terms before enrollment.

Educators are responsible for reviewing each activity for age, ability, safety, and setting suitability before use and for following applicable requirements. These resources are not a validated developmental assessment or a guarantee of a TRS assessment result.
